Week 17 NFL game picks
January 1st 2010 10:37
Thanks for checking out my free week 17 NFL predictions. I have been doing non point spread NFL game predictions all season and my record is 153 and 73 so far. As I said these week 17 NFL game picks have no point spreads and are suitable for your office football pool. This is the final week of the 2009 NFL regular season but I will be doing playoff game breakdowns and predictions, just click my profile in the future. Please feel free to leave a comment about my free week 17 NFL game predictions, down below.
Indianapolis at Buffalo
Look for the Colts to play their backups after they already threw one game to mess with the AFC playoff picture. The Bills are playing for pride and to impress next year’s coaching staff. Buffalo beats the Colts 17 to 10.
New Orleans at Carolina
After going undefeated the Saints have dropped two in a row. After sucking up the join the Panthers under quarterback Matt Moore have whipped the Vikings and dog stomped the Giants recently. This division tends to see home teams win the division matchups. That being said the Panthers are without Steve Smith (broken arm) and will be playing against 8 men in the box all day. The Saints are a little banged up as well but will beat Carolina 24 to 17.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay
The Bucs are playing as good as they can at this point and knocked off the Saints last week. Atlanta is trying to play out the string on a disappointing and injury prone season. Bucs squeak by with a 17 to 14 win.
San Francisco at Saint Louis
The Rams are just glad this season is over and the 49ers are trying to build some momentum for next year. 49ers 28, Rams 7.
New York Giants at Minnesota
The Giants have given up and their once great defense is looking pretty average. Even if the Vikings rest some starters I don’t see them losing the game. Minnesota 24, New York 21.
Pittsburgh at Miami
The Steelers and Dolphins both need a win and lots of help to make the 2009 NFL playoffs. I think the Steelers will come to Miami ready to play and will win 21 to 10.
New England at Houston
The Patriots are probably in the playoffs with a win but Houston needs a win and probably an act of God. I am really loving the Houston passing attack against the Patriots old defense. Houston wins 27 to 24.
Chicago at Detroit
The Bears are playing for pride and a chance to keep coach Lovie Smith for one more year. The Lions are just happy to be here but have little hope of a win. Chicago wins 28 to 7.
Jacksonville at Cleveland
The Jags have a way to the outside chance of making the playoffs and coach Del Rio may be on the hot seat. Cleveland has suddenly started playing well in an effort to keep their jobs under what may be their 2nd new coach in as many years. Jacksonville wins 21 to 17.
Philadelphia at Dallas
Dallas may have lost their December jinx but playing the Eagles for the NFC East Title will test them. I think the Eagles are the best team in the NFL right now but they lost their starting center which will hurt them against Dallas’s defensive line. I just don’t see the Cowboys being able to stop the biggest playmaker in the NFL, DeSean Jackson. Philly wins the game and the NFC East Title, 34 to 31 over the Dallas Cowboys.
Kansas City at Denver
Hard to believe that Broncos coach Josh McDaniels wanted Matt Cassel over Kyle Orton before the season. Denver spanks the Chiefs 31 to 14.
Baltimore at Oakland
Both teams are playing for pride but the Ravens have more talent. Oh yeah the Ravens are playing for a playoff spot as well. My week 17 NFL prediction is that the Ravens beat the Raiders, 24 to 14.
Washington at San Diego
With the Skins already interviewing coaches, Jim Zorn is in a bad position. Norv Turner gets some revenge against a former team. San Diego wins 35 to 14. Unless they rest the starters in which case the Chargers win 21 to 17.
Tennessee at Seattle
The Seahawks are just too bad and too banged up to handle the Titans. Tennessee wins 24 to 13.
Green Bay at Arizona
Kurt Warner gets to play another former team when the Packers come to town. This isn’t last year’s Cardinals poised for a late season run. Green Bay defeats Arizona 28 to 24 in my week 17 NFL prediction.
Cincinnati at the New York Jets
If the Jets win, then they are in the playoffs. The Bengals are not really playing for anything but a loss by them can screw the hated Steelers out of the playoffs. I think the Jets win 21 to 17.
