As the season gets closer to coming to a complete close, the AFC North looks to be somewhat of a three team race. It is the same three that it usually ends up being with one being a complete failure as usual.

Pittsburgh is the team I thought they were. Anytime it gets said that they are on the decline, they seem to keep going no matter what. They have probably one of the smartest organizations in the league. They know what it takes to win and probably is going to stay that way for years. When one guy goes down, they plug someone else in and just stays the course.


Baltimore is another franchise that seems to be doing things right. They have a strong defense and doesn't appear to be completely slowing down anytime soon. They know how to find talent and use it right.

Cincinnati is a team that is full of frustration because each season, you never know if they are going to contend for sure. They let Palmer "retire" only for him to be traded to the Raiders. A new QB and a WR to match and they seem to be clicking for now. Only time will tell if they can put together consecutive good seasons.

Cleveland is once again a punching bag. They showed promise early on with being 2-2 and instead have been 1-4 since that time frame. They couldn't score a touch down if the other team just laid down and not even tried. Sometimes and I think I've said it on here before, what were they thinking bringing the Browns back to Cleveland? Couldn't they name have been retired for good? Sometimes I wonder if it would be better if there wasn't a football team in Cleveland to torture the fan base on a consistent basis. Maybe that could be an article.
