What is it with wide receivers now? Steve Smith suspended for two games for breaking the nose of Panther defensive back Ken Lucas. Brandon Marshall suspended for two to three games for violating the league conduct policy. Chris Henry, well just being Chris Henry and constantly being in trouble.
Keep in mind Steven Smith has been suspended for fighting with teammates before. He was out for one game and both of his suspensions came from the Panthers not the NFL. Smith needs to get his demons under control; he really comes across as a nice guy here locally. And in my opinion he is probably the best Carolina Panther football player that they have ever had.
I am shocked at the behavior of today’s NFL players. They know they will miss games and lose money for doing certain things. Yet they do them anyway. They have so much money that they don’t care about the check, and they don’t love the game like previous generations of players did. You only get so many games in an NFL career and to piss them away on suspensions is ludicrous in my opinion.
And all these players getting drunk driving charges is just dumb. I would pay somebody to haul my drunk butt around if I was them.
