Brady Quinn traded to Denver
March 15th 2010 01:58
Brady Quinn has been traded to the Denver Broncos for a 6th round draft pick and fullback Peyton Hillis plus a conditional pick. The Cleveland Browns have given up on their quarterbacks from 2009 by releasing Derrick Anderson and trading Brady Quinn. Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace are the current Browns quarterbacks.
The Denver Broncos are not giving up much to take a chance on Brady Quinn who won’t push Kyle Orton for the starting job in 2010. Quinn will probably sit and learn the offense for the Broncos in 2010.
Sometimes a quarterback especially needs a change of scenery and will flourish with a new team ala Steve Young. Brady Quinn is no Steve Young but he may become a serviceable quarterback for the Broncos at a cheap price.
The Browns dumped a quarterback who may have been a distraction and who clearly didn’t work out when they traded Brady Quinn to the Broncos. Mike Holmgren is trying to turn the team around but needs a new coach of the Browns to do that.
