Bronws probably have their QB figured out but not telling

This isn't a news piece but more of an opinion. If you had to compare the preseason stats for what they are worth, Quinn does have a higher passing rating than Anderson. Having said that, you cannot trade either one because what that could do is something terrible happening without a decent backup, you're screwed. How often do you see a starter finish a whole season without having to be taken out?
They lost to the Bears at the very end not losing by much. For whatever reasons, they have to avoid this type of situation. When you have a lead, you hold it until the very end. It is preseason yes, but that is something that must be corrected.
I do believe Quinn is going to be the starter. Mangini is probably trying to "fool" people when it comes to picking out the right guy for the job. The reality is that hiding it is just not the way to go. Then again, I do have to wonder why does everything have to be so secretive? Minnesota is probably preparing to face off with Brady himself.
Think of the fan outrage because the Browns fanbase hates Derek Anderson with a passion. It is as if he is the second coming of Ryan Leaf, perhaps the biggest bust in NFL history. Expect him to the backup and that's about it. If Quinn goes down to injury or just plain sucks, then at least you know what you're getting with Anderson. If he goes down, look back to last season and it is a true reflection of what happens.
There may be another blog coming up after the game with the Vikings with my own personal thoughts. Until next time.
