Browns thoughts after the Lions game
August 23rd 2009 17:54
I may try to do this weekly after a Browns game whether they win or lose but no guarantees though.
I will say however that the Cleveland Browns finally scored a touchdown for a change. As far as right now who should be the starter, I don't know. What I will say however is I want the one that gives them the best chance of winning. Sure, they beat the Lions in the preseason but you know preseason means nothing when it comes to records but it's good to get some wins so maybe there can be a reason to feel good about this team.
Will this team be good during the regular season? Only time will tell on them. I don't know who will be the starter and quite frankly I don't care. You got to have good protection and also your receivers have to catch the ball as well. It wouldn't matter if it's Quinn or Anderson, no protection will result in a lot of sacks and possible injuries to make it even worse.
I'm neutral on the Quarterback position because I don't care who's starting as long as the Browns are winning games. It isn't a popularity contest and shouldn't be. I may write up something next week on the Browns after this.
I'll say in closing. It was a good win for the Browns and maybe it can translate into becoming the team that the fans feel they could become.
