Crennel and Weiss to join the Chiefs

Romeo Crennel is joining Charlie Weiss as former New England Patriot coordinators now with the Kansas City Chiefs. Former Patriots GM Scott Pelosi is the GM of the Chiefs and they are trying to rebuild their version of the Patriots in Kansas City.
As a Kansas City Chief fan I applaud the hiring of Charlie Weiss and Romeo Crennel who didn’t cut it as head coaches with Notre Dame and the Browns. I feel that it is an indication that the Chiefs are trying to move forward and win.
I am still not sold on Matt Cassel as the all important Franchise Quarterback, however. Cassel did sit behind the best college quarterback of all time in Matt Leinart, then behind Tom Brady. Cassel needs to show me more than he did this season, but of course some better players are bound to make him look better. I was a fan of Tyler Thigpen myself who was better and cheaper than Matt Cassel.
I just hope the Chiefs can get some players for Crennel’s 3-4 defense that he runs. Charlie Weiss is more of a sure thing for the Chiefs with Bowe and Charles at wide reliever and RB to work with.
