Tony Romo the Choke Artist
December 9th 2008 03:07
The Dallas Cowboys game with the Pittsburg Steelers was better than I thought it would be. I am a Cowboys fan (along with the Chiefs and Panthers) so I am biased. But I really was disappointed with Tony Romo in yet another big game choke out.
The Dallas Cowboys have a rich Quarterback Tradition and part of that is their play in big games. However it seems like every time Tony Romo gets in one he chokes and has a bad game.
I understand that Jason Whitten ran the wrong route and caused one of Romo’s 3 interceptions (he also fumbled once) but he still choked in yet another big game
Earlier this season Dallas looked like a second rate team while Romo recovered from a finger injury. When he returned the Cowboys looked like a Super Bowl contender until they got into an important football game.
I actually am a big fan of Tony Romo but until he learns to not choke in big games Dallas will not advance in the post season if they even make the playoffs. He has too much talent and moxie not to improve, but he better do it quickly. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will not tolerate this long.
