Cowboys in a meltdown?
November 6th 2008 01:12
I've been swamped in RT this week so I hope you'll excuse me for FINALLY making comments about the games this weekend.
I should say GAME. How many of you watched the Dallas Debacle otherwise known as the Cowboys-Giants game?
It was really strange. The image of the loose cannon known as the Dallas Cowboys crystallized for me as I was trying to explain the game to a friend who knows nothing about football. In retrospect, a comment I made sums up the team pretty well--"They'll probably lose but maybe we'll see a good argument on the sidelines."
Perhaps Dallas's ineptitude was best exemplified by the confusion of Brooks Bollinger and Brad Johnson right after a New York turnover and both of them were heading out to call signals.
And to think, prior to the season, it appeared to many that Dallas was the team to beat in the NFC. Now, maybe it's the New York Giants. People are still trying to figure out how the stopped New England's ride in the Super Bowl but, since then, they've gotten used to winning.
