The dad I wish I had- By Freddie Scott
March 27th 2009 22:41
Freddie Scott II. played four seasons in the National Football League. His dad Freddie Scott played many seasons in pro football; both of them were wide receivers. Freddie Scott II could have wrote a “My dad and I played in the NFL” type book. But he chose to take a different path with his book, one that will help anyone who reads it.
Freddie Scott (the younger) has written a book entitled “The dad I wish I had” which calls attention to family responsibilities and what is really more important in life. As a minister he mentions God and Family and what a father should be. You can visit Mr. Scott’s website here and I highly advise watching the video of his interview about the book which is on the site. It captures the reasons for the book “The dad I wish I had”
Freddie believes we need to get fathers more involved in their kid’s lives and take a religious approach to the issue. Former Colts head coach Tony Dungy has written the forward to the book, which can be pre ordered now.
Earlier today I had the opportunity to get some information about the book “The dad I wish I had” from Mr. Scott himself. He had this to say to me about this project.
“This book specifically addresses often untold feelings of the heart that MUST be dealt with. It's a pleasure to get the support of a NFL legend like Coach Dungy, and the endorsement of the Colts new head coach Jim Caldwell."
I believe that sums up his attempts to solve a big problem in society. It comes from HIS heart to help others. I hope you will order the book and pass it along to your friends, I believe the message it contains needs to be shared.
I would like to thank the author and former NFL player Freddie Scott for taking a few moments to share the information with me. And I ask my regular readers to share this article or at least the link to ThedadIwishIhad.com.
