Derek Anderson gone from the Browns, will Brady Quinn be next?
March 11th 2010 02:05
Derek Anderson is no longer with the Browns. He just got the boot and it came after they obtained Seneca Wallace from the Seahawks. It was bound to happen and it seems like with Anderson, he pretty much trashed Cleveland fans then apologized. He felt like he was the step child nobody loved and Quinn was treated as the prodigal son. Personally, Anderson had one good year and then just couldn't get it going. Quinn, on the other hand, has not impressed me completely from watching him. If he got traded, it wouldn't bother me. If he stayed, then so be it. I'd rather they just get somebody and just win with that person.
Who is going to pick up Anderson? Don't know and don't care, he's not with Cleveland anymore and that's all there is to it. His best moment was 2007 but then again I could say that team peaked and that was it. Sorry 'bout his luck but oh well for Anderson.
On to Brady Quinn, he had a couple good games but the overall feeling is not impressed. I really don't know if he is the guy but I will say this, he hasn't convinced me he is the man to lead the Browns to the promised land. Then again, I don't know who will if it will ever happen. There isn't enough talent but there is potential. That's all I can say on that.
I get the feeling his days may be numbered and they could be looking to go for a shot at trying to win sooner rather than later. If trading Quinn is the answer, then so be it. They just better be sure they are finding the right guy to lead them to places they've never been like a Super Bowl for instance. That's all I can say on this and maybe next time I'll come up with something else another time.
