Our first Footballdogz.com spotlight High School player is Dustin Walsh. From Wilkes Central High School in Moravian Falls North Carolina. Dustin Walsh is 6ft 5 inches tall and weighs 360 pounds! They grow em big up there in the mountains of North Carolina. Folks he is the size of an NFL lineman right now. And he is a senior at Wilkes Central High School. I know there are some college coaches out there salivating at the thought of this young man creating mischief on their offensive or defensive lines. I know Coastal Carolina was already interested in him as a junior at Wilkes Central.
Dustin Walsh plays Center and Defensive Tackle for the Eagles. After 5 games this season he has 20 tackles and one quarterback sack. He also has caused one fumble and recovered two fumbles. His caused fumble was due to stripping the ball from a ball carrier. That shows a good head on his shoulders as most high school players concentrate on simply making the tackle, not going after the ball.
Dustin is also a great student/athlete. His GPA is 3.2 and he has scored 1440 on the SAT. Also he is a 3 year letterman at Wilkes Central and is a team captain this season.
