Fantasy Football Tips

July 4th 2010 16:20
Here are some tips on preparing for your fantasy football draft. I will link to some helpful fantasy football articles I actually get paid for, in a couple of places so please check those out as well.

Keep the schedule in mind when preparing for your fantasy football draft. Look for guys playing bad teams during your playoff weeks. You also want to consider what teams may be benching players to get them ready for the NFL playoffs. If you have Peyton Manning then make sure you have a good backup who should be playing in the final weeks of the season.

Running backs used to be king in fantasy football but now that honor belongs to quarterbacks. The way the NFL handcuffs defensive backs make fantasy football a quarterbacks and wide receiver must have game. Here is my ranking of the top fantasy football quarterbacks in 2010.

However running backs are still important as they do get more touches than receivers and often get goal line touchdowns. I would take Manning over any running back but the elite ones are worth passing on a 2nd tier starting qb to draft. Here is my ranking for the best fantasy football running backs in 2010.

With kickers I just pick one off a good offense and run with him. The defense can be picked two ways. Go for a great defense and hope for the best or go for a decent defense in a division of bad offenses. If you know you are playing Jake Delhomme twice a year then interceptions are a given.
