Week 13 Fantasy Football Tips
November 26th 2008 01:31
Welcome to my Fantasy Football Tips for week 13 of the 2008 NFL season. I an currently in 3 leagues, leading one, middle of the pack in one and we won’t discuss the third. I first started playing fantasy football among my friends in the 1980’s so I may be able to provide some tips on starting lineups for week 13. This article covers Quarterbacks, Running Backs and Wide Receivers.
Of course there are certain no brainers that you would always use in your Fantasy Football lineup. What I will be discussing here is middle of the road type players you may or may not use every week. These are the guys I would be using in my week 13 Fantasy Football Lineup if they were on my roster. Thanks for reading these Fantasy Football Tips for week 13 of the 2008 NFL season. Remember to set your Fantasy Lineup early as we have two Thanksgiving Pro Football games, and there are no byes.
Quarterbacks
I would consider Kerry Collins for two reasons; they are fired up after being embarrassed by the Jets. Also the Tennessee Titans are playing the lowly Detroit Lions and should light them up.
Matt Hasselbeck would be a nice fit if you are having matchup issues with your other Fantasy quarterbacks. Teams pass at will on Dallas and if Matt is healthy he could throw for 350 yards and 3 scores.
Trent Edwards is a good one to have this week as the Bills are playing the 49ers. Edwards is streaky and is getting healthier from a injury earlier in the season.
Tyler Thigpen may be a Fantasy Quarterback option against Oakland. I just have a feeling they will light up the Raiders.
Running Backs
Julius Jones is very interesting as he was benched last week by Seattle. But he is starting on Thanksgiving Day against his old team the Dallas Cowboys. Jones was thought to be the Franchise Back until Marion Barber came along. I look for Jones to run for over 100 yards and possibly score a time or two.
LeRon McClain is also a running back worth considering for your week 13 Fantasy Football lineup. He has 459 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground in 2008 and has added 18 receptions and another touchdown receiving. I would advise only using him if you are weak there or have matchup issues.
Joseph Addai seems to be improving and playing Cleveland may bring on a breakout game for the talented Colt.
Jonathan Stewart will get lots of carries in the snow in Green Bay. Sometimes the big backs do well on the Frozen Tundra
Ryan Grant is playing a home game with snow expected and the Panthers can’t tackle. He and Stewart should both have great games.
Wide Receivers
Anthony Gonzalez is really coming on strong of late and is worth considering against the Browns.
Ted Ginn Jr will get a chance to be the top threat with the injury to Greg Camarillo and playing the Rams should inflate his numbers even more.
Ike Hilliard may sneak in a good game against the Saints for Tampa Bay. I got a feeling the Saints will double Antonio Bryant leaving Hilliard open more often.
Donald Driver may sneak in a good game against the Panthers as they will be watching Greg Jennings very closely.
Andre Johnson of the Texans will light up Jacksonville so use him.
