The $10,000 hit

Maybe Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre will reconsider staying in the NFL.
It turns out that he's been fined $10,000 for his hit on Eugen Wilson in Monday's pre-season game with the Dallas Texans.
In case you missed it, here's another look.

Under Roger Goodell, the NFL seems to be making a concerted effort to clean up its image through fines and/or suspensions. I have to wonder if this situation is caught up in that process.
None the less, I have to agree with the commentators and admit this was a bad play on Favre's part. Luckily, Wilson will return to play again.
Let me affirm that I ABHOR cheap shots but, in Favre's defense, one has to remember that he is new to the Wildcat formation used on that particular play. However, if Favre would drop his Prima Donna antics and show up for training camp and quit with the "..maybe I will and maybe I won't..." stuff in the off season, maybe he'd get a handle on the Wildcat.
If Brett Favre loves the game of football as much as he alludes, we have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
