Head Coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen have been fired by the Tampa Bay Bucs today. For more about Jon Gruden getting fired click this link. This wasn't a huge shock other than the timing as it puts Tampa in a tough spot ti find a replacement, maybe.
The Dallas Cowboys have fired defensive coordinator Brian Stewart and special teams coach Bruce Read according to profootballtalk.com. We all saw this coming when head coach Wade Phillips was forced to take over the Cowboy’s defense late in 2008. The unit did improve under Phillips who has always been a great defensive coordinator and a crappy head coach.
There are also rumors that Terrell Owens could be released or traded by the Dallas Cowboys during the offseason. As much as I like Owens I do think it is time for him to go wear out his welcome on another team. Can anybody say Oakland Raiders?
