Guess I was wrong, Mangini news
January 8th 2010 02:27
I thought I was done with the Browns on the overview that had been posted on a previous blog, but it does seem that I was wrong. This was one to have some serious speculation. There were so many questions on whether or not he would have been retained. To be honest, as the Browns writer, I was a bit indifferent. On one hand, if they did fire him, who was going to come in? It's not like they had a lot of options.
I don't know if it will work but it certainly might be worth it. Had they gone 1-15, I do believe he would have been given the boot. It was those last four games that really made the difference. Since he won, it made it hard and personally I'm glad I didn't have to make that decision.
This probably will be my last one unless something major happens. I don't really have a lot to say on it. It is big and if he doesn't start off well, he'll get the boot and then there will be more changes. Well, maybe the draft but then again, it's not my strong suit without following college enough. It's always going to be out who they draft and not where. Guess you can say it was short and sweet.
