What the hell is going on with NFL players and guns? Plaxico Burress shoots himself in the leg. Marvin Harrison probably shot somebody else right before the 2008 season and now two NFL players are arrested on gun charges in one week.
Jacksonville Jaguar’s safety Gerald Sensabaugh was recently arrested in Kingsport ( I have been through there several times before) Tennessee for driving with a suspended license and having 3 guns including an AK-47 in the car. Earlier this week Bills running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested on felony gun charges in California. According to this ESPN story Lynch was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. According to that article Lynch was the target of a drive by shooting in college. So maybe I can understand packing heat and several football players have been shot or robbed in recent years.
But NFL players have the ability to check into local gun laws like anybody else. Many states have concealed handgun licenses you can get. But I suspect few NFL players legally carry guns.
