A guy from my area trying to make an NFL team

July 25th 2008 02:27
How cool is this? A guy from my home area is on an NFL roster. Justin Harper a 6 ft 3 215 pound rookie wide receiver is trying to make the Baltimore Ravens roster. Harper put up ok numbers at Virginia Tech with 83 receptions for 1,338 yards and 8 scores in 4 years.

I live in Catawba County North Carolina and Justin Harper is from the town of Catawba about 10 miles from me. To my knowledge we have had one pro baseball player (Brian Harvey) one pro basketball player ( Chris Washburn) and one NFL player ( Shane Burton) from Catawba County. There may be more and we do of course have Ned and Dale Jarrett of NASCAR fame.

The only bad thing about Justin Harper is that he attended Bandys High School which was the arch rival of my school Bunker Hill. Of course it wasn’t his fault his family lived in the wrong school area (just a joke all you Trojans fans) I will also add that in my senior season we beat Bandys’ of course that was 20 years ago.

I really wish Justin Harper the best in his efforts to play in the NFL and I will be following his progress. If any friends or family of Harper’s happen to find this on the internet, I really, really, really would love to interview him in the off season. My name is Randy Inman and I live up the road in Claremont. Footballdogz.com wishes all the best to Justin Harper.

Does that Mean I can't be a linebacker if im only 6'2?

Ummm...what's football?

Nice site here. If I were in any way shape or form into sports at all, I'd really enjoy it.

As always, well done, Randy.
