Torry Holt released by the Rams!

Torry Holt has been released by the St. Louis Rams as was expected would happen. The Rams are clearly getting younger and cheaper, having released Orlando Pace earlier this week.
Torry Holt has put up NFL hall of fame type number with the Rams at the wide receiver position. In 158 games Torry Holt has caught 869 passes for 12,660 yards and 74 touchdown receptions. All with the Rams who are the only team he ever played for in the National Football League.
Torry Holt has expressed an interest in playing for the Carolina Panthers in the past due to being a North Carolina native. However the Panthers are very salary cap strapped at the moment. Also they appear to be giving Dwayne Jarrett a chance to be a starter this season while moving Muhammad to the 3rd spot. Holt would slow Jarrett’s development and wouldn’t fit in with the run first system anyway.
Look for Torry Holt to end up in Philadelphia, Cleveland or Tampa Bay, or less likely Dallas.
