Justin Harper released

Justin Harper the former Virginia Tech wide receiver from my area has been released by the Baltimore Ravens. I was privileged to meet Harper recently and he was my first face to face interview with an NFL player.

Justin Harper is a class act and I really hope he catches on with another team. Our Carolina Panthers certainly need wide receivers and I would love to see Justin Harper play for them.

For any Catawba County residents who read my Claremont Courier columns we do have one guy in the NFL that I know of. Ryan Succop the kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs went to Hickory High School. I really love that as my two favorite teams are the Chiefs and Panthers.
