Football Free Agent Signings- Linebackers
July 14th 2008 02:46
Footballdogz.com continues our look at notable free agent signings during this offseason. We have covered everyone but linebackers, defensive backs and kickers-punters. This article covers NFL linebackers who changed teams.
Boss Bailey who I thought would be a great player in Detroit, but didn’t quite pan out, is now with Denver. I think a new team may be what he needs to become a quality player.
Rocky Boiman has left a probable Super Bowl winner in the Colts to go play for the Eagles. I hope he got a nice raise to give up the glory of playing for the Colts.
Clark Haggans has left the Pittsburg Steelers to join some of his former coached on the Arizona Cardinals squad. He may be a missing peace of the puzzle for a lackluster defense out in the desert.
D.D Lewis has left the Broncos to play for the Seattle Seahawks. Of course this isn’t the same guy who played in the 70’s for Tom Landry. Or if it is he sure has kept himself in shape!
Kawika Mitchell left the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants to actually play in the state of New York for the Buffalo Bills.
Dan Morgan left the Panthers for the Saints then retired due to his numerous injuries.
Calvin Pace leaves the Cardinals for the New York Jets and a chance to play in Jersey.
Zach Thomas is undoubtedly the biggest name linebacker switching teams. He left the Miami Dolphins to go home to Texas and the Dallas Cowboys. I think he has too many miles on him to be very effective, but he could prove me wrong.
