Larry Johnson probably cost the Chiefs two games

The Chiefs are starting to develop a pattern. They play fairly well at the start of the game, then can’t seal the deal. They had the Jets and Tampa Bay down late in the last two games and couldn’t hold the lead.
I am a Chiefs fan and seldom get to see them play but did see the game with Tampa Bay. I really enjoyed seeing some Wildcat type plays with the receiver throwing a touchdown pass to the quarterback.
However that isn’t Chiefs football, which is run Larry Johnson and eat up the clock. But that isn’t an option much this season. Larry Johnson was suspended for 3 games by the Chiefs and at least 1 game by the NFL. Johnson has had repeated incidents of assaults on women, usually in night clubs.
I think the absence of Johnson cost the Chiefs the last two ball games. If he was there I think they could have ran out the clock and held their leads with LJ. Granted he and they were not having a great year before the suspension but he is still their best option to hold a lead.
Kansas City rookie running back Jamaal Charles looks like a keeper. Charles ran for 106 yards on 18 carries for a nice 5.9 average. But he is a shake and bake type of runner and I don’t remember him breaking any tackles. Larry Johnson is beast to bring down when he is motivated. So I think the Chiefs can thank him for two close losses.
