Recently I have lost a lot of respect for former Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs. Not for anything football related but rather than his actions in his other career as a NASCAR team owner.
Despite living in North Carolina where NASCAR is very popular I am not really a fan of the sport. NASCAR badboy Kyle Busch works for Joe Gibbs and recently has been on a rampage of bad behavior on and off the track. The big thing was getting a speeding ticket for doing 128 miles per hour in a 45 zone.
The latest incident was Busch showing his ass after a NASCAR truck race and getting a beatdown by old man and NASCAR legend car owner Richard Childress. Joe Gibbs has steadfastly stood by Busch through all this. Joe Gibbs even said on WFNZ that Busch had matured greatly of late.
Joe Gibbs had a good reputation here in his native state of North Carolina. Gibbs was thought of as a good family man. The fact that he didn’t suspend Busch or fire him shows Joe Gibbs true colors. Gibbs is chasing the almighty dollar like so many and if Busch kills a kid on the highway then oh well.
