Peyton Manning

Manning will probably be fine in a few weeks. Photo U.S. Navy photo by Chief Photographer’s Mate Don Bray (RELEASED)
If Manning had a really serious condition it would be out by now and I expect him to be back in a few weeks as predicted by the team. The Colts did sign Quinn Grey and Jared Lorenzen at the quarterback position.
If Manning is in worse shape than we think then the Colts are very possibly screwed. Jim Scorgie has only played in 4 NFL games with no starts in his career. Look for the Colts to make a move for Favre very soon if Manning is going to be out during the regular season.
But if they don’t want to go there, the Colts would probably trade for another veteran quarterback or pick one up off the street. I am sure Chris Simms could be traded for, or maybe even Jeff Garcia if the Colts came calling.
But I really think one of those moves would have been made already if the Colts were overly worried about Manning’s condition.
