According to the AP, Sahel Kazemi, who who was found dead near ex-quarterback Steve McNair's body, purchased a semiautomatic handgun on Thursday, just days before their demise on Saturday.
It appears that McNair was not with Kazemi when she obtained the gun.
Although both victims had wound to the head, tests for gunpowder residue are still in progress and police are not saying if the gruesome deaths are a murder-suicide or some other horrible foul play.
Early Saturday, their bodies were found in a Nashville condominium leased by ex-Tennessee Titan and Baltimore Raven quarterback Steve McNair.
Public viewings will take place in Nashville on Thursday and a memorial will be held later that evening.
Afterward, a second memorial service will be held Saturday in Hattiesburg, Miss., on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi.
Donations may be made to the Steve McNair Foundation which is an organization serving underprivileged children through grants, scholarships, camps, and various athletic activities.
