Moment of Truth: Browns Must Win Now

October 7th 2008 21:53
With a record of 1-3, there is no chance the Cleveland Browns will be seeing the post-season. It should come as no surprise considering how poor they came out of the gate with Dallas. Cleveland should be 2-2 at the least but threw the Steelers game away with Romeo's bad clock decisions playing a role along with Anderson not doing his part to score some runs. You can blame it on injuries but if that's the case, why are the Browns so injury prone? I blame the offense for failing to show up when needed to.

Going into the season, I had some serious hope that the Cleveland Browns could have a solid year despite the schedule but it shows I guess either the team doesn't want to play or simply put a terrible team assembled from the beginning. Last year was no fluke as they won 10 games but this year is becoming the old trend of not being able to develop anything and back to the expansion era.

Some fans based upon forums regarding the Browns have always hated Derek Anderson and wanted Brady Quinn in as the starter. If need be, then put him in to see what happens. I do not care who is the Quarterback as long as the Browns win. It is sad that it has been a Brady Quinn vs. Derek Anderson debate on who should start the games.

The Cleveland Browns in my eyes have a 3% chance of beating the Giants, not because they were the defending Super Bowl Champions but because the Giants have been rather tough to beat. Nobody has done so at this very moment. This one could be the worst one or perhaps the worst is yet to come.

I think there will be some changes in the off-season in the coaching and possibly other positions. Had the players played better, there wouldn't be a need for this complaint to go on and on about the Browns. It's a shame too but I guess it is true: They can't play well under pressure. Put a little bit on them and they either play horribly or get injured. I hope they fix that injury problem and either start training better or if the trainers aren't that good, replace them with better ones.

That is all for now from the state of Ohio. I shall see you next time.

A team like the Browns are what the Giants should fear more than anyyhing. They have nothing to lose and no pressure. That CAN spell upset.

Good point. The Brown have been nothing but a disappointment to everyone. I'm glad you didn't weigh in on the Quinn-Anderson debate. I think that will be resolved before the season ends. Who knows???? Maybe during the Giants game????????

AND I have to agree with your comment on a possible upset of the Giants. I know the smart money will be on the Giants but something in my gut is picking this one as an Upset Special!!!!
