The Browns Won But Must Use it To Win the Next Two Games
October 27th 2008 18:56
In another shocking turn of events, the Browns actually beat the Jaguars 23-17 to move to 3-4. It seems that perhaps after that 0-3 start, the Browns are slowly starting to get back on their feet. They are 3-1 since that horrendous start and are going to need to continue to play this well as they got two games this coming week. The 1st is the rematch with the Baltimore Ravens and you know the Browns are going to want some payback on this franchise after beating them 28-10 with one bad 3rd Quarter.
They are 2-2 on the road and 1-2 at home. I do not know if they will make the post-season but I do think they can finish with a decent record despite this challenging schedule show to speak. I knew going in it would be challenging and early on I had to wonder what was going on with this team. They beat the Bengals, which everybody seems to be doing so far this season. The shock of the season had to be the G-Men getting beat by, you guessed it the Browns.
Derek Anderson is doing what he can to keep his job but truthfully as long as they win, it won't matter much on who starts. I still say it doesn't but that is just me. He is going to have to not throw any interceptions for this team to have a chance. It has to come down to that and of course Braylon Edwards needs to catch the ball and not look like he's got butterfingers.
The Kellen Winslow saga is just something I don't have answers to and need to hear from everyone. I do think that if there is a problem, it needs to be corrected with the staph infections. I also would like to see them fix the injury problems that seem to plague this team on a consistent basis. I swear they are injury riddled. I do hope that it gets corrected soon for this team to have any type of future.
The Ravens have won the last two games and are looking to go 5-3 on the year and make the Browns go 3-5. After this, Cleveland has to deal with Denver and they are not exactly going to be push overs. The Denver defense isn't that good but the offense makes up for it personally. If Cleveland is to win, the defense will need to be strong, no interceptions thrown, and most importantly score more than the opposition.
