Today was a bad day for injuries in the NFL, then again most Sundays are. But here is a partial list that perked my interest. Reggie Bush probably being the biggest one that I have noticed at first glance.
Reggie Bush suffered a knee injury while playing the Carolina Panthers and will be looked at by famed surgeon Dr. James Andrews of Birmingham Alabama. The pre MRI guess is that he will miss 4 weeks. Of course after Dr. Andrews does the MRI it could change for the worse or better. Starting center Jonathan Goodwin also injured his knee for the Saints and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
Hines Ward also ended the season of Bengals rookie linebacker Keith Rivers, by breaking his jaw in two places. You can see the video here on Profootballtalk.com who is also reporting that Raven’s Terrell Suggs says there is a bounty on Ward for violent hits like this. I am not sure if the hit was legal or not, kind of looks like a spear to me.
Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle is possibly out for the season after going down against the Titans in his first game back from a previous injury. Damon Huard was then injured as well and is questionable for next week.
Devin Hester of the Bears suffered a quad injury and had to leave the game with the Vikings
