The end of the small man?
January 4th 2010 01:11
This hit is further evidence that the small man has no hope in today's football world. This was the hit put on Miami Dolphin Pat White earlier today bu the Pittsburgh Steelers' Ike Taylor.
"Small" is a relative term. At 6'1" and 190 pounds, Pat White may not appear small to the common man. However in a sport of plus-300 pound behemoths, where even running backs are well over 200 pounds, how many opportunities are out there for the small man?

Without the luxury of instant-replay, it may be hard to fully appreciate the ferocity if this hit. For those of you who saw the game, you will recall we not only witnessed the play we also heard it as I am sure most people in the stadium did.
As the commentator said, there was no movement for several seconds after that hit until White rolled to his side. However, like most fans, I would have felt a lot better if has had wiggled his feet as he was wheeled away from the filed of play!
