Jason Peters traded to Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are determined to improve their offensive line before the 2009 NFL season begins. They traded three draft picks to the Buffalo Bills for offensive tackle Jason Peters. One of the picks is a first round draft (28th) in the 2009 draft, along with a 4th round plus a day two pick in 2010’s draft. The details of the Eagles trade for Jason Peters come from profootballtalk.com. Earlier this offseason the Eagles added former Bengals offensive lineman Stacy Andrews to their roster.
If Andrews is healthy and Peters is motivated by the new contract he will probably get, then the Eagles major weakness has been addressed. I don’t know why a bad team like Buffalo would trade Jason Peters but they must have had their reasons.
The Eagles still have not addressed another major offensive need, skill position players. They need a quality wide receiver and a running back who can take reps from the fragile Brian Westbrook. If the Eagles can do this, the Jason Peters trade may push them into Super Bowl contention in 2009.
Donovan McNabb has been the focal point of the Eagles offense for years with very little help. Now that the offensive line is better, I think they will indeed for after a back then a receiver in the 2009 NFL draft. And Torry Holt and Marvin Harrison (Philadelphia native) are still out there in free agency.
