First Round of the Playoffs almost over
January 4th 2009 21:41
Well the first round of the 2008 NFL Playoffs are almost over. Earlier I made some predictions for each game. I am 2 of 3 on the games played thus far. I missed the Colts (also picked them to win the Super Bowl-duh) but got the Cardinals and Ravens right.
The Ravens now look really good because they match up with the remaining teams in the AFC Playoffs. Their defense brings the nasty and the offense is just good enough to stay in most games. But now I will go with the Steelers as my AFC Super Bowl pick out of the bunch that is left.
San Diego just seems like a fake to me that shouldn’t even be there. The Titans are overrated and Pittsburgh looks like the most complete team left in the AFC.
The Arizona Cardinals showed me something I didn’t think they had, a running game and a little bit of defense. But when they head to the East Coast they get beaten and usually badly. I really think the Eagles may just take it all but they would have to beat the Giants, and Panthers on the road. My tentative pick for the NFC at this point will be the Giants but I think the Eagles may just take them, if of course they beat the Vikings today.
