Predicting the NFC: Day 1

July 5th 2010 18:10
The following is going to be a two-part blog with each involving the conferences. Today, it is going to be a projection of the NFC. Now, it may be argued that it could be possibly a weaker conference but that's up for debate. One thing I will expect is that it will be competitive. There is no guarantee on who is going to claim the division. I will not be projecting the Super Bowl as it is too early to do so at this time.

2010 NFC West Predictions

This division above with the link is going to be probably the most wide open. St. Louis I'm not sure is going to be ready just yet. They have Bradford but you don't know what he'll do until he gets out there. Seattle I think is on the decline a bit and Hasslebeck may getting to a point of near retirement. It's probably going to come down to the 49ers and the Cardinals and maybe even the final game. Yes, Arizona doesn't have Kurt Warner but you never know with San Francisco.

2010 NFC East division

Admittedly, everyone could finish .500 or above. With Washington, I'm not sure how McNabb adapts to playing for the Redskins so that's the reason I have them going last. It has more to do with adapting to the situation. Philadelphia is going through a Quarterback transition so could finish slightly ahead of Washington. This division does come down to the Giants and Cowboys. I'm not certain that Eli Manning will have enough to be able to overtake Dallas but wouldn't be shocked if it came down to the final game of the season.

2010 NFC North Predictions

I don't expect much to change in the NFC North. Favre is probably going to play. Even if he said he wasn't going to, it shouldn't be believed at this moment. There just isn't much else to add on that.

2010 NFC South Predictions

It can be argued to be wide open, but it will be the Saints division to lose. With Drew Brees on the cover of Madden, you have to wonder if the Saints will be as good. It's an interesting thought and if they are still strong, expect them to run away with the division. It's not a very strong division.

Nice work I think San Francisco will take that division and maybe even go to the Super Bowl.

They could. The NFC is wide open.
