Random Browns thoughts
September 8th 2010 14:11
I know it's been a while but I've had school work to do and now I'm on break. I'll try to post a bit more often but no guarantees. I have a lot of Browns thoughts going into the season.
1. Jim Brown will not be at the Browns Ring of Honor. He comes across as extremely bitter in this case. He's pouting because his role was going to be reduced. Whatever his job was beforehand, he wasn't getting the job done and it didn't lead them anyway.
2. There needs to be improvement. When I said they would finish last, it's because I looked at the strength of the AFC North and it's pretty strong. They can have more wins than last season, which is possible. The Browns have to win the first two games otherwise, it's going to be yet another typical Browns losing season.
Improvement is Needed for the Cleveland Browns
I stand by that feeling and they must do better. Click the link above if you want when it comes to this. It's going to take a serious effort to get out of this punching bag mentality.
3. Eric Mangini is on the clock. Very few want him to see him succeed and that seems to be the vibe I sense. The sad part is they probably could find a coach with an even worse record to get hired. That seems to be the Cleveland memo. I can't see Holmgren taking over because of being the President.
Eric Mangini on the hot seat in Cleveland?
Of course, it's just an opinion and the link above is the case. I do believe he needs to see the team win more games. My guess is 7 or more would probably keep his job and of course if the games are very close. If they are really bad like it started off last season, then it probably see a change. They've changed coaches and have done nothing but rebuild.
I'll probably do a Quarterly report once the season has progressed. I'll probably have it done like I did with the AFC and NFC predictions. I'll try to get some more blog posts up but hopefully I'll have some free time and won't have a hectic quarter of school coming along.
