Random thoughts going into the season
May 29th 2010 01:37
The time is drawing near for the pre-season and it's going to be an interesting season for sure. I will possibly make a post and it could be dividing up the divisions projecting them from my own perspective. As far as post-season goes, not going to go there yet and maybe will look at it and see if I can close. What I can say for sure is some predictions before the season begins.
Brett Favre is going to play. I'm convinced he's going to go for another year for the Vikings but wouldn't bet on them to go to the Super Bowl. They will be a contender for the division without question since it is wide open. If he says he's going to retire, I'm not going to believe. It's like the story The Boy Who Cried Wolf. No one will believe them even if he's telling the truth.
The story for the Saints can not only be about repeating but can Drew Brees avoid the Madden Curse. He is on the cover for the next Madden game.
With the Colts, they've been labeled the Atlanta Braves of the NFL in that all they got is one Super Bowl to show for everything they've done for the 2000s. Peyton Manning is a Hall of Fame Quarterback without question. It's just a shame he's only got one but it's better than none.
I know it seems short but I'll try to make up for it with the next blog post will be more about the divisions. I will try to break it down division by division. I'm not sure if I should do eight separate posts to focus on a specific division, two going from the AFC to the NFC, or just one with eight links. I'll figure it out by then.
