Footballdogz.com Top 10 NFL Power Rankings

Footballdogz.com is proud to announce our first top 10 NFL team Power Rankings. Read and enjoy.
- New York Giants They are the defending Super Bowl Champions and are also 2-0 on the season thus far. Until they are defeated then they are the best team in the NFL. Despite the loss of several key players to injury, retirement or trade, they remain a top team.
- New England Patriots. They are also undefeated despite losing Tom Brady and remain the defending AFC champions. I don’t expect them to last in the top part of the Power Rankings but they will until they lose a game or two.
- Dallas Cowboys. They knocked off a top flight team in the Eagles and while the Cowboys pass defense is suspect, their offense isn’t. Romo does concern me with his hot and cold play and of course teams now know they can light up the Cowboys secondary.
- Pittsburg Steelers. Despite a qb playing with a separated shoulder, they are 2-0 and look good this season. They are on a roll and could do some damage this season to the elite AFC teams.
- Denver Broncos. Yeah I know they were given one game but their offense is awesome. Their defense is good enough to keep Denver in most games. So far they have scored 28 more points than their opponents. Of course part of that was an ass whipping of the Raiders.
- Green Bay. Still a very solid team even without Brett Favre. They seem solid in all aspects of the game. The Dallas Green Bay game will be a test for both of those fine NFC teams.
- Carolina Panthers- They won two nail biters this season coming from behind in both. Keep in mind that this was without their best player Steve Smith. He was out for a cheap shot attack that broke the jaw of Panther Defensive Back Ken Lucas. Now Smith is back and gives the Panthers a deep threat and helps take pressure off the running game. Julius Peppers has been a non factor this season thus far and that is cause for concern.
- Buffalo Bills. Yes let me say it again, Buffalo is 2-0 and probably the surprise team in the NFL in 2008. They are plus 28 in points over their opponents. Let us see how long it lasts but I hope they have a great season.
- Tennessee Titans are winning with defense and luck. However I think the loss of Vince Young will help them. Kerry Collins is a solid quarterback and a better fit for this team than Young.
- Philadelphia Eagles are 1-1 and I know Arizona is 2-0 under the resurrected Kurt Warner. But the Eagles are clearly the better team. They gave Dallas all they could handle and look explosive on offense.
