Dan Reaves to 49ers?
January 23rd 2009 22:26
Dan Reaves may be returning to the NFL coaching ranks as the offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, according to Jay Glazier of Fox Sports. The former Falcons, Giants and Bronco’s head coach may have the itch again.
Dan Reaves learned his offensive football from none other than Tom Landry the Dallas Cowboys legendary head coach. Reaves turned 69 years old in January which may be a tad long in the tooth. But 49ers head coach Mike Singletary would be very familiar with playing against Dan Reaves’s offenses. So it is possible that Singletary has some young offensive coaches he wants Reaves to groom. Certainly he wouldn’t be deemed a long term solution.
