Several big name NFL players have been released from their teams in the last week or so. Marvin Harrison probably being the biggest one to be cut from a team since he is a possible NFL candidate. Harrison asked for and got his release from the Indianapolis Colts.
Marvin Harrison was not the only big name NFL player released recently however. Deuce McAlister the running back from the New Orleans Saints was cut. Long time Jacksonville Jaguar RB Fred Taylor was released as well. The Chiefs cut Patrick Surtain and the Falcons let Lawyer Milloy go. The Raiders released safety Gibril Wilson and are considering letting receiver Javon Walker go. Just a few of the big name NFL players who have been or will be released.
