Romeo Crennel has been hired as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. Crennel was the defensive coordinator then interim head coach when Todd Haley was fired. This is another move in the Chief’s attempt to be the Patriots when they grow up.
Crennel was the defensive coordinator of the Patriots when they had their Super Bowl success. Crennel was less than stellar as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns before joining the Chiefs.
As a fan of the Chiefs (I also like the Panthers) I think the hiring of Romeo Crennel is a good idea. One of the reasons I switched from the Chiefs only to also pulling for the Panthers was the hiring of Todd Haley. I thought Haley was immature and an ass and I was proven right.
I like the direction the Kansas City Chiefs are heading in with Romeo Crennel who has better front office help now than what he had in Cleveland. Crennel is solid and well liked by the players and he may make the Chiefs a playoff team in 2012.
