Scott Fujita--the NFL's class act
March 14th 2010 04:07
In this day and age, with free agency in more and more sports, it's not uncommon to find your favorite player on several teams.
It was the same this year after the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl. However instead of prima donnas preening for the media and savoring a moment in the spotlight, Saints' linebacker Scott Fujita did something to set himself apart from the herd.
True, next season he's going to be in (God help him) Cleveland, helping anchor the struggling Browns defense, but his actions before leaving New Orleans says something about his character.
Fujita gave half of his Super Bowl winnings to charity. Half went to relief efforts in Haiti, and the other half went to restoration projects in New Orleans which, believe it or not, still struggles to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina.
Scott Fujita may not be a star player by NFL standards but his actions have certainly made his stock rise!
