Mike Shanahan knows the importance of a franchise quarterback. Shanahan won two Super Bowls with John Elway and none without him. Now the new Redskins coach has traded for Donovan McNabb to try to lead the Redskins to the Promised Land.
Read here to see just how important a franchise quarterback is in the NFL. Shanahan knows the passing game and will get the best out of Donovan McNabb if he can get some offensive linemen and receivers to help McNabb out.
I think the Redskins may be on the road to recovery under Mike Shanahan and with Donovan McNabb leading the offense. Shanahan and McNabb are a match made in heaven as Donovan is an experienced quarterback in a similar system to what the Redskins run.
