So the Cowboys won
December 20th 2009 17:51
Okay it's a fact. The Dallas Cowboys (9-5) defeated the previously undefeated New Orleans Saints last night to "drop" the saints to 13-1 leaving the Indianapolis Colts as the only undefeated team in the NFL.
Right away people started saying "..the 'Boys are back," "...it's a new team" "...they have a new attitude."
The fact remains Dallas has a history of folding in December. Stats don't lie. A quick look will tell you Cowboy's quarterback Tony Romo is only 6-10 as a starter in December!
This may be a return to the days of old for Dallas. As far as that goes, they needed a win much more than the Saints and played accordingly.

There are only two game remaining for Dallas but, they will tell the tale. Next week is a game at the Washington Redskins. Granted, the 'Skins are in the cellar of the NFC East but, this has always been a good rivalry plus the game is in Washington. The following week gets even better. The Cowboys are going to entertain the Philadelphia Eagles for what may be a defacto playoff for the Division.
How's that song go? Some gotta win, some gotta lose...
