Steelers will go back to the Super Bowl

June 25th 2009 21:49
I think the Pittsburgh Steelers will return to the Super Bowl to represent the AFC after the 2009 NFL season. The Steelers have improved their offensive line a little and should have 3 starting quality running backs for that ground game. They didn’t really lose anyone they can’t replace so I think they will repeat as AFC Champions.

I know Tom Brady is back but I think it will take him a year to get back in top form. The New England Patriots should make the playoffs though. I also think Baltimore and Miami will be playoff teams for the AFC in 2009.

In the NFC I think the New Orleans Saints will represent their conference in the Bowl if they can find a running game. For right now the Saints are my pick to go to the big game though. I really like their passing game and the defense has been improved.

I also really like the Eagles chances to do well in 2009 but they almost always choke and will while McNabb is the quarterback. Look for the Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons and the Dallas Cowboys to make the playoffs as well. I think the Carolina Panthers will tank especially if Julius Peppers does not play.

The Panthers have not had two playoff seasons in a row in their history and I don’t see it happening at this point. One team that will beat some unexpected teams will be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Look for Byron Leftwich to be the NFL comeback player of the year. I don’t think they will quite be a playoff team though.

I believe that the Patriots will be back in the mix and yes I think that the steelers will be a contender for the superbowl. They got a great defense. But there are a lot of teams that are under the radar in the AFC like the Ravens like what happened last year. I couldn't believe that the Cardinals made it to the superbowl last year just with their explosive offense.
