The Browns win....THE BROWNS WIN?!
December 11th 2009 17:20
As the Browns writer, I must admit I was stunned to see that the team would actually win. Pittsburgh I was certain would beat them. It had to be the biggest shocker and most stunning game of the year and the Lions beating the Redskins was a stunner in itself. It could be a case that finally the Browns got sick and tired of being ridiculed and claimed to be lazy and just decided to take out the anger on Pittsburgh. That's all that was asked, to start winning games.
Does this guarantee Mangini another year? I'm not so sure about that. To me, Lerner has to find his football mind to take care of business. If they win out, that could happen. As far as drafting goes, they have to find the right people to take care of business. It is a crap-shoot at best.
Maybe I was wrong about the fact that I've trashed them and called them a punching bag. Granted, the stats weren't great on the offensive side with Quinn but they got the important one being the win. That is all that matters. Call it stunning because that's what it is. Now, let's see if they can get a few more wins to really show people that they can win a few more games and give people a reason to be positive.
Remember, in the NFL draft, it's not where they draft, it's who they draft.
