Week 11 NFL Game Picks
November 12th 2008 01:15
Welcome ladies and gentlemen and assorted kids of all ages! Here are my NFL week 11 game predictions for the 2008 season. No point spreads in these predictions as I find it hard enough to do straight picks. Will the Titans remain undefeated? Will the Lions break through and win one for the Gipper er Culpepper? Read on to find out, and please share with your friends, my game picks for week 11 of the 2008 NFL season. And there are no byes this week so we have a full NFL Schedule.
New York Jets at New England (Thursday game)
The Jets are hot and cold with their new quarterback Brett Favre but seem to be a solid team. The Patriots are fighting the injury bug but are improving as backup quarterback Matt Cassel does. Don’t ever count New England out of a game or a season. Plus this is a continuation of the feud (the Jets started the whole Spygate mess). Patriots 27 Jets 17.
Philadelphia at Cincinnati
The Bengals just don’t have the guns to beat a solid Eagles team. Philly 31 Cin 14.
Denver at Atlanta
No running game or defense means Denver will be making more passes than a drunk in a single’s bar. Atlanta has been very steady despite a rookie coach and quarterback. I think the Falcons win a wild one at home, 41 to 37.
Oakland at Miami
The Raiders are fighting injuries but at least gave the Panthers a scare. The Dolphins are the most improved team in the NFL in 2008. Look for them to beat the Raiders 24 to 10.
Houston at Indianapolis
The Texans are a competitive team but the Colts are starting to look their old selves. Colts 28 Texans 17.
New Orleans at Kansas City
The Saints have just imploded with injuries and the Steroid Controversy. The Chiefs have been playing much better of late. I look for an upset with the Chiefs beating the Saints 21 to 17.
Chicago at Green Bay
Chicago gave the undefeated Titans a good game in week 10. I am not sure about Green Bay at all and think the Bears will win 24 to 21.
Minnesota at Tampa Bay
The Bucs suddenly look old to me and the Vikes are coming off a big game. I think Minnesota will win 21 to 7.
Detroit at Carolina
The Panthers played flat and pulled one out at Oakland. They have not played two bad games in a row in 2008. Look for the Panthers to whip the Lions 34 to 21.
Baltimore at New York Giants
This game will be a nasty hitting fest with two strong defenses. Look for the Giants to take advantage of a rookie quarterback and win 17 to 7.
St. Louis at San Francisco
Battle between two head coaches who were assistant coaches when the season began. I think the 49ers will pull it out at home 21 to 14.
Arizona at Seattle
The Seahawks are just playing out the string on an injury plagued season. Arizona will light em up like a Christmas Tree. Cards 45 Seahawks 14.
Tennessee at Jacksonville
The Jaguars are a team in disarray but are at least coming off a win. I just don’t think they can handle the undefeated Titans. Tennessee 21 Jacksonville 17.
San Diego at Pittsburg
The Chargers are the most underachieving team in football. The Steelers scratch and claw each weak to try to win. Steelers 24 Chargers 17. A ball boy for the Chargers will go after Hines Ward to collect the bounty offered by the Ravens. Sorry I am just trying to see if anybody actually reads this far down the page.
Dallas at Washington
Dallas may get Tony Romo back but since he plays neither offensive line or defensive back it won’t help them. Washington thinks they are a playoff team and added Deangalo Hall this week. The Redskins whip the Stars off the Dallas helmets 31 to 17.
Cleveland at Buffalo (Monday Night)
New Starter Brady Quinn didn’t suck up the joint in his first start for the Browns. The Bills started hot then faded fast. When in doubt with a hard game to pick go with the home team. Bills 24 Browns 21.
