Week 15 NFL Game Picks
December 10th 2008 01:16
Thanks for checking out this article about NFL Game Predictions for week 15 of the 2008 football season. I am a longtime pro football fan and run one football website, cover the Carolina Panthers for another and write a sports column for a local newspaper. So I do know a little bit about the game.
My NFL Game Predictions for week 15 contain no point spreads; these are just straight NFL Game Picks suitable for Office Pools and the like. I was a full time player in Football Office Pools for years with no point spreads. Doing those made me enough money to buy a used ski boat so I did pretty well with game picks.
The Highlight of my Week 14 Game Predictions was picking the Eagles to upset the Giants which they did. But enough of tooting my own horn lets get on to NFL Game Picks for week 15 of the 2008 season. Good luck with your Office Football Pool in week 15.
New Orleans at Chicago on Thursday
The Saints and Bears are two teams that are hard to predict in 2008. I am betting that cold weather will negate some of the Saints explosiveness. Chicago wins 27 to 24 at home in the Windy City.
Seattle at Saint Louis
Two teams playing out the string to end this bad season for the clubs. I do think the Rams have a little more fire in them and will win 17 to 10.
Buffalo at the New York Jets
I think Buffalo has given up on 2008 and are plagued with injuries as well. Brett Favre will step up and lead the Jets to a 34 to 21 win over the Bills.
San Francisco at Miami
The Dolphins have a possible playoff spot to fight for and at home that will be enough against the poor 49ers squad. Miami will beat the 49ers 34 to 17.
San Diego at Kansas City
The Chargers have no heart and the Chiefs have no talent. But from time to time the Chiefs do well against Divisional Opponents. I do think the Chargers will win but a close one 31 to 27.
Green Bay at Jacksonville
Two teams on the decline meet in a meaningless game as far as the playoffs are concerned. Jacksonville will win a yawner 17 to 14.
Detroit at the Colts
I keep wanting to pick the Lions to upset somebody but it just isn’t going to happen. Take the safe Office Pool Pick and go with the Colts, who will win 28 to 17.
Tennessee at Houston
The former Oilers return to Houston to play the Texans. Houston has improved during the latter part of 2008 but not enough. Titans break Texan hearts again this time 24 to 7.
Washington at Cincinnati
The Redskins HAVE to win to keep their playoff hopes alive but Clinton Portis has been injured and the rest of the team flat. The Bengals have a good game every 3 or 4 weeks and I smell upset. The Bengals will beat the Redskins 21 to 17.
Tampa Bay at Atlanta
Another game with playoff implications in the NFC, the thing with the South Division is that home teams almost always win. Atlanta knocks off the Bucs 27 to 14.
Minnesota at Arizona
The Cardinals look sharp in their home games but the Vikings have been playing better of late. This should be a good game but the Cards will beat the Vikes 28 to 17.
New England at Oakland
The Patriots continue to try to improve even recently bringing back 200 year old linebacker Junior Seau. The Raiders could care less about winning most games and will lose this one 24 to 7.
Pittsburg at Baltimore
Oh this will be nasty, the two toughest defenses in the NFL and the teams hate each other’s guts and livers! The Steelers are coming off an emotional win over the Cowboys but the Ravens will crush that high. My Office Pool Pick would be to take the Ravens as they win 17 to 14 over Pittsburg.
New York Giants at Dallas
The Giants were roughed up by the Eagles last week, and Dallas lost a Heart Breaker to the Steelers. This will be the last time the New York Giants play a regular season game in Texas Stadium. Dallas will be desperate to try to keep their playoff hopes alive and need this game more than the Giants do. Despite Tony Romo being a choker in big games, look for the Cowboys to win 24 to 21.
Denver at Carolina
Denver brings their great passing attack to Charlotte to go against the Carolina Panthers and their strong run game. The Panthers are good at home and will win this game 21 to 17.
Cleveland at Philadelphia
The Eagles are on a roll and the Browns are what rolls down hill. Philly will beat them in a blowout 41 to 10.
