Ok guys I meant to do this last week and frankly, I forgot. But every week from here on out I will make predictions for all the NFL games that week. So here are the Week 2 NFL game predictions for the 2008 season. I am not dealing with the point spreads at least not this week.
Green Bay at Detroit
The Packers are looking good and while I think the Lions will improve my prediction is a Green Bay victory.
New York Giants at the Saint Louis Rams.
Blowout for the Giants, the Rams have given up already I think and there will be a new coach in Ram Land next season, if not before.
New Orleans at Washington
The Saints will be the Redskins but I think it will be a close game as the Skins are not a bad football team.
Buffalo at Jacksonville
Too many injuries including a shooting victim, on the Jag’s offensive line. Look for the Bills to pull off their 2nd upset in 2 weeks.
Tennessee at Cincinnati
Kerry Collins will light up the Bengals who just suck and also need a new coach.
Oakland at Kansas City
The Raiders have more talent but the head coach is feuding with the owner and the defensive coordinator. The Chiefs will win this one at Arrowhead for their first win of the 2008 season.
Colts at the Vikings
This may well be the best game of the day and I think it will be. Look for the Vikes to beat the Colts as Manning and the boys were really flat last week.
Chicago at Carolina
My prediction is that the Panthers will beat the Bears to start the season at 2-0. And they get Steve Smith back next week.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay
A hard game to pick and it could go either way. I think the veteran Tampa Bay defense will be too much for the Falcon rookie quarterback. Tampa will win a close one.
San Francisco at Seattle
The Seahawks have some injury concerns but their pride is hurt after last weeks but kicking by Buffalo. I think they will take it out on the 49ers and beat the crap out of them.
San Diego at Denver
Denver will beat the Chargers who are possibly going to be without LaDainian Tomlinson
New England Patriots at the New York Jets
Matt Cassel makes his first start, and against Brett Favre who used to play under Vince Lombardi almost. The Patriots will beat the Jets and possibly blow them out. The Patriots have too much pride and skill to let their season go down the tubes without a fight. Plus the Jets started the whole spygate mess and are on the Pat’s hitlist.
Miami at Arizona
My upset pick of the day as the Dolphins will pick off the Cardinals.
Pittsburg at Cleveland
It is hard to say a game in week two is a make or break game. But I think it may be for the Cleveland Browns. I think the Steelers will break them however.
Monday Night
Eagles at the Cowboys
The Eagles are great and so are the Dallas Cowboys and this could be a preview of the NFC Championship Game. I think the Cowboys are a little more banged up than the Eagles, and Philly will knock them off in the final regular season game between the teams in Texas Stadium.
