Week 10 Picks
November 6th 2008 00:38
Welcome to the worst NFL game predictions in the 2008 season! Well probably not the worst but I strive for medium quality on my picks. We are now in week 10 of the 2008 NFL season. It has been a hard season to pick with wild upsets and lots of injuries affecting the football games. Well here is my list of football picks for week ten of the NFL.
New Orleans at Atlanta
The Saints are close to unbeatable when they are “On” but the Falcons have quietly been having a good season with a rookie coach and quarterback. I think the Saints injury problems and distraction from steroid allegations will throw them off. Falcons win at home 24 to 17.
Tennessee at Chicago
This is going to be a hard hitting knock your jock in the dirt kind of game. The Titans remain the only undefeated team in football despite almost no passing game. The Bears are a steady hard hitting team. With Kyle Orton out for a month or so Rex Grossman is once again the Bears quarterback. I just have a feeling Rex will be more mature and play better after losing his starting job to Kyle Orton. Bears pull off the upset and win 17 to 14.
Jacksonville at Detroit
Detroit sucks and Jacksonville is the most underachieving team in football. But I don’t see them losing to Detroit after losing to the Bengals. Jacksonville 28 Detroit 10.
Baltimore at Houston
Baltimore has a nasty defense and a bad offense ran by a rookie quarterback. Houston is a hot and cold running team. Hard to pick but when in doubt go with the home team. Texans 21 Ravens 10.
Seattle at Miami
Two teams going in opposite directions, once good Seattle against once bad Miami. I am going with the Dolphins to win 17 to 14.
Green Bay at Minnesota
Green Bay looks too good for the Vikes who do have some talent but not enough. Pack 34 Vikes 21.
Buffalo at New England
This may be a good game but Buffalo after a great start has went back to being the Bills again and lost two straight. The Patriots will find a way to win, 21 to 14,
St. Louis at the New York Jets
The Rams are playing better under their new coach but is it good enough. The Jets suck but sometimes Brett Favre plays like himself and they win. Sometimes Brett Favre plays like himself and they lose. Look for the Rams to upset the Jets 24 to 21.
Denver at Cleveland (Thursday)
The battle of two bad teams, this won’t be John Elway and the Drive. Cleveland will spank the ugly off of Denver’s uniforms. Cleveland 31 Denver 17.
Carolina at Oakland
The Panthers are looking good but sometimes letdown and they are coming off a bye. Oakland sucks and has a bad front office that causes distractions. I think the Panthers will play flat but win 14 to 7.
Indianapolis at Pittsburg
The Colts don’t look the same with a injured (but playing) Peyton Manning, and they have no running game. The Steelers offensive line is bad and they are clearly trying to get their quarterback killed. But I think the Steelers defense will come through at home and the Steelers win 17 to 14.
Kansas City at San Diego
The Chiefs have been playing with heart but don’t know how to finish games. The Chargers have to start playing well sometime and it will be this week. Chargers 27 Chiefs 10.
New York Football Giants at Philadelphia.
This game will see both defenses bring on the nasty. The Eagles are a good team but I don’t see anyone stopping the Giants running game. Giants 17 Eagles 14.
San Francisco at Arizona
Mike Singletary will probably go moon Kurt Warner instead of his own team. Arizona 45 San Francisco 10.
