Lately I have been listening to WFNZ’s Weekend Warriors on Saturday and Sunday mornings. WFNZ is the best sports radio station in Charlotte North Carolina and can feed your weekend radio sports fix with two excellent shows. Listen to them online at WFNZ.com or on the radio at 610 am. The shows come on Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 9 in the morning.
Len Martez and Tommy Heffner do the Saturday edition of the Weekend Warriors. My new Facebook buddy Steve Lyerly and Charlotte Bobcat’s arena announcer “Big Pat” host the Sunday show on WFNZ.
Both of these shows offer their unique perspective on both national sports and stuff local to the Charlotte area. We all know radio programming sucks on the weekends so why not give these guys a listen?
I love calling in and talking about the Carolina Panthers or to make fun of NBA or NASCAR fans who seem to think those are real sports. Charlotte radio has a gem to offer with the Weekend Warriors.
